The heat is on in Long Branch!  The evergrowing popularity, as people become aware of this hidden community by the lake, has led to a shortage of available homes for sale.  This is the case in most of Toronto but particularily in this small neighbourhood that is bordered by Lake Ontario/Marie Curtis Park/Colonel Sam Smith Park-Humber College and to the north by the CN railway.  This makes a very distinct pocket and a defined village feel that more and more people want to make their HOME!

The Water Front communities of Etobicoke have been sleepy and over looked for years BUT its coming of age for Toronto's True West End where values have not caught up to the rest of the city but have nearly doubled in value in only 3 years.  Thats not just the regular housing market in Toronto its also because the communities of Long Branch, New Toronto, and Mimico have been unnoticed for decades. The Closure of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital and eventual occupation by Humber Colege has started the ball rolling and has finally been noticed for the gem that it is.

Toronto has been voted Best City in the World to live in!  And it has been top ten on several assessments!   That's why Toronto has been growing and growing and is not showing signs of slowing down!   Even if there is a small correction the fact is Toronto has a lot to offer!  And people want to live here!  Even if it is sometimes cold hehe!  Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts on being at home in Toronto!
