The Water Front communities of Etobicoke have been sleepy and over looked for years BUT its coming of age for Toronto's True West End where values have not caught up to the rest of the city but have nearly doubled in value in only 3 years. Thats not just the regular housing market in Toronto its also because the communities of Long Branch, New Toronto, and Mimico have been unnoticed for decades. The Closure of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital and eventual occupation by Humber Colege has started the ball rolling and has finally been noticed for the gem that it is. It is the last of waterfront communities to be developed and is fast approaching equilibrium with the rest of the city. It won't be long before it is a coveted neighbourhood by the lake. And likely not within reach for many would be home owners.
